Privacy policy

This policy explains how SyncSEO (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the syncseo.io marketing site and the application at app.syncseo.io (together, the “Services”).

What we collect

  • Account data: email, name, workspace metadata you provide on sign-up.
  • Product data: workspaces, prompts, citation results, articles, placements, and schema you create inside the app.
  • Telemetry: server logs (IP, user agent, request paths) for the purpose of keeping the service reliable and secure.
  • Contact form submissions: your name, email, company, and the message text.

What we don’t do

  • We do not sell your data.
  • We do not train on your data without your explicit consent.
  • We do not share your workspace contents with other customers.

Third-party processors

We use a small number of third parties strictly for service delivery. Each processor receives only the minimum data needed to perform its function:

  • Cloud hosting: Vercel (marketing site + app frontend), Railway (API + agent + Postgres + Redis).
  • Authentication: Clerk — email, name, and any identity-provider data you choose to connect (Google, GitHub).
  • Payments: Stripe — name, email, billing address, payment-card data (handled directly by Stripe, never stored on our servers), subscription and invoice metadata. We retain only Stripe customer / subscription / invoice IDs locally so the in-app billing screen renders quickly.
  • LLM gateway: OpenRouter — content the agent sends to the underlying LLM models (your prompts, brand voice, citation probes). OpenRouter does not train on our traffic.
  • Transactional email: Brevo — recipient email address, message subject and body for invites, billing notices, and similar one-to-one messages.
  • Analytics: none deployed today. If we add a privacy-preserving analytics provider (e.g. Plausible) we will update this policy first.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, correct it, or delete it at any time. Email hi@syncseo.io to exercise any of these rights. We will respond within 30 days.

Data retention

Product data is retained for the lifetime of your account. If you delete your workspace, all citation runs, articles, placements, and findings are purged within 30 days. Backups may retain data for up to 90 days beyond that for disaster-recovery purposes only.
